Proposed Local Law

The Shire of Kent proposes to adopt a Shire of Kent Bush Fire Brigades Local Law –

Purpose – to revoke the Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2023 and make provisions for establishment, management and administration of Bush Fire Brigades in accordance with the Bush Fires Act 1954 in accordance with the undertakings given to the Joint Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation.

Effect – to align the local law with legislation and these undertakings.

A copy of the proposed local law and the proposed consolidation of the local law, may be inspected at or obtained from –

  • the Administration Offices in Nyabing during normal office hours
  • from the Shire of Kent website
  • by contacting the Administration Offices

Submissions about the proposed local laws may be made by 4.00pm, Friday 4 October 2024 –

  • in writing to the CEO at the address below, or
  • by email to ceo@kent.wa.gov.au
